I absolutely love brunch! It is such a luxury to spend the morning leisurely eating out and drinking my coffee in a cup, as opposed to rushing around with a takeaway coffee in my hand!
I met with a few food bloggers for brunch at Criniti’s in Parramatta. It was actually my first time dining at Criniti’s. Wow, I have been totally missing out!
Amongst four girls, we shared two breakfast boards. I have seen some pretty big breakfast boards before, but this by far, was the biggest I have ever seen! One breakfast board apparently serves two, but seriously, it’s more like for three or four!
One board includes 4 eggs your way, bacon, porchetta, Italian house sausages, steak, crumbed eggplant, roasted tomatoes, mushrooms, smashed avocado with fetta cheese, baby spinach, grilled halloumi, zucchini flowers, smoked salmon, polenta chips and toasted Italian bread. All this for $39!
To wash all this food down, we ordered a round of Nutella Bomboloni smoothies! A Nutella smoothie topped with a freshly made Nutella filled donut ball. The biggest Nutella donut ball I have seen on any shake in Sydney!
Now, what’s a meal (no matter how large) without dessert? You guessed it, we ordered the Dessert Platter for four. It included cannoli, tiramisù, zeppole, crème brûlée, ricotta cheesecake and panna cotta.
Did we manage to eat it all? No, we were defeated. But! Criniti’s lovingly packed up the leftovers and we were able to take them home to re-live the experience! 😉
My Criniti’s tip…come hungry, very hungry! Also, we loved sitting in the outdoor area. We sure got a lot of attention from the people walking by! Was it the mountain of food on the table, or us standing on chairs to get that perfect food shot? Perhaps both. 😉
