Winning on Easy Lane

IMG_2307-001

Last week, I took a beautiful ‘country’ drive to Windsor to check out Easy Lane. With a gorgeous garden setting, extensive drinks list and delicious paddock to plate inspired menu, Easy Lane is a hidden gem and a win for Sydney’s north-west!

A new addition to the Windsor RSL, they have done a fantastic job creating a relaxing and light-filled garden space. There are loads of dining table options for different group sizes in the courtyard, as well as high bar tables on the lawn for more casual dining and drinks.

Now, to the food I tried :)

The Garden Fizz cocktail (above left). Hendricks Gin, apple juice, cucumber and elderflower.

I loved this cocktail! Ice-cold, refreshing and oh-so-pretty! It reminded me of a similar cocktail I had at The Boathouse in New York City. I would gladly drink this again (and again)!

Szechuan Dusted Calamari (above right). Tender fresh calamari dusted in Easy Lane’s hot and salty seasoning, coriander and chilli and lime aioli.

The calamari was delicious and a very generous serving. I loved the Szechuan seasoning which worked so well with the lime aioli. Perfectly cooked, the calamari was tender, without being chewy or oily.

Recently Updated

Chicken Burger (above left). Portuguese spiced free range chicken breast fillet with avocado, house slaw, brie cheese and hand cut chips.

This was a HUGE burger with big and juicy chicken breasts inside. The chicken alone could be a meal by itself! There’s lots to love here, but I especially liked the creamy avocado matched with the chicken.

Pizza (above right). Chorizo, pepperoni, triple smoked ham, chilli ground beef, Spanish onion, Kalamata olives and jalapeños.

A meat lover’s delight, this pizza was crammed with toppings. It’s great for big eaters or sharing with friends. Easy Lane happily provide take-away pizza boxes if you have any leftovers, at no charge, winning!

Dessert pizza (above). Sliced apple pizza with custard, crunchy crumble, salted caramel sauce and vanilla gelato.

I love apple crumble and pizza, so this was an obvious choice for dessert. Coffees and teas you ask? Yes, Easy Lane also serve hot drinks.

My final words on Easy Lane? A relaxing spot to hang with your friends with an impressive food and drinks menu. The staff are warm and very helpful. Tip – food servings are very, very generous! Come hungry or bring friends. Or both, I guess! :)
